Firefly 2 Concentrates Review
Hi guys, this is Kory form Namaste Vapes and thanks for checking out today's blog post on the Firefly 2 with Concentrates! We're going to talk about the new Firefly 2 vaporizer and how it can be used to vape all types of concentrates from liquid to waxes and oils. The Firefly 2 is a dry herb vaporizer but is supplied with 3 concentrate pads as well. The firefly 2 is going to prove one of the best portable convection vaporizers.
How to use the Firefly 2 Convection Vaporizer with concentrates
To use the Firefly 2 with concentrates the first thing you need to do is to download the App if you have not already. Once you have the App loaded then click on the Concentrates option under the Heat Profile settings. This will set the firefly up so that its max operating temperature is suitable for your concentrates.
Next, insert the Firefly 2 concentrate pad in to the camber of the vape. Then add a dab of your concentrate on to the pad and close the lid. If you're using a thicker concentrate like a wax that is more firm then you'll need to take several draws from the Firefly to bring the heat in to the chamber and allow the wax to melt in to the stainless steel pad. Once its melted in and distributed through the concentrate pad then on your next draw you will start to see visible vapor. From my experience it may take 1-3 ten second draws to get the unit up to temp and producing vapor. But, it is well worth the wait!
Once you've got the unit warm and producing concentrates you may think you've died and gone to heaven! The Firefly 2 produces incredibly flavorful vapor from concentrates that is very smooth and tasty. Depending on the amount of wax you've put in to the pad you will be able to continue taking quite a few draws until there is none left. Its best to put in small amounts as if you put too much it will build up a lot of residue in the concentrate pad and in the chamber.
Firefly 2 Vape Tip
One interesting thing to point out as well is that the way the Firefly 2, or there vapes like the Mighy, Crafty, Plenty which all use a similar way of vaporizing concentrates with a stainless steel pad are quite different from the other way people vaporize concentrates on nails. When you're using a nail no matter if its a ceramic nail or a quartz nail or an e-nail or a nectar collector all of these varieties of products are designed to vaporize your small (or large) dab of concentrate in one single inhale. The Firefly 2 for example because the temperatures do not reach that of a nail will take a longer time to vaporize hence a longer session with more draws. So this is a better way to control the amount of vapor you're consuming while using a potent form of wax, oil etc. Just something interesting to think about.
So from my thorough testing I'm very pleased with the way in which the Firefly 2 performs with concentrates. I already knew it would as did the original Firefly as well! Improvements to the vapor quality with the Firefly 2 comes from the enhanced heating, all-glass vapor pathway and new materials. I'm a big fan of both the original and new Firefly 2. Other vaporizers at this top end of the category include the Pax and the Crafty also good vapes but like I always say there is no 'Best' vape as they are all different and excel in different areas. Hope you found this informative if you're looking to get a Firefly 2 and interested in using it with your concentrates!
Peace and Blessings
