What is Vapor Quality?
Vapor quality refers to the flavour, clouds, and overall experience gained from various vaporizers. Your vapor is dictated by a number of things including the vaporizer model, heat settings, the characteristics of your dry herb or concentrates, and even the level of grinder.
How to Measure Vapor Quality
Whether it's better flavor, bigger clouds, or just a better experience overall, if you haven't already asked the question "How can I make my vaping experience even better?" Then it's time to start asking! If you have already purchased a high quality vape, then you're already getting a great experience, but why not try to up the ante?
Here's our tips and trick to help you out in your vapor enhancing journey.
1) Invest in a Good Vaporizer.
This one seems obvious, but it has to be mentioned. You will NEVER get the same vape experience from a Palm 1.0 as you will from a Mighty. It just won't happen. So figuring out what you want from a vaporizer, and getting a good quality one will be important! Check out our featured brands page to see the best selling vapes we stock.
For better flavor quality we recommend you check out the Firefly or Silver Surfer. Both boast high quality glass, ceramic, and metal parts to give a pure, clean vapor production that gives great flavor.
If getting thick clouds with each draw is high on your list of musts, look into the Mighty or the Volcano Digital! Both are made by Storz & Bickel, and offer the best vapor production on the market.
If you just want an overall unique, or sleek experience, then we recommend the Pax 3, or the DaVinci IQ. The Pax 3 offers one of the sexiest vaping experiences on the market with it's small, simple, and sleek casing that only enhance it's awesome performance. The DaVinci IQ gives you incredible functionality with tons of controls and settings like the Smart Paths feature. Smart Paths gives you four 10-minute pre-programmed temperature settings to choose from, for a perfectly timed session to get the most out of your herb.
2) Get A Good Grinder
Something a lot of people skimp out on is a good grinder. Grinding your material efficiently is an extremely important piece in the process of vaporizing, and can give you some immediate results. The kind of grind you use depends on your vape of choice - a fine grind with a tight pack works best for conduction vapes, while convection models require a looser pack and coarser grind to leave room for hot air to penetrate your herb. If you have a good grinder, you will get more even consistency, which will allow your material to be heated, extracted, and vaporized more efficiently, getting you better flavor and vapor production.
3) Vapor Quality Improved by Keeping Dry Herbs Dry
This might seem obvious to some people, but its actually a step people get confused about often. These vaporizers are made for aromatherapy-grade dry herbs, and if your materials are wet or moist, then you are actually going to be hindering your vapor experience. Some people assume that wet material might help create vapor, however it just causes your extraction to be uneven. Assuring that your dry herbs are actually dry will help you to get a more consistent grind as well.
4) Getting the Right Temperature
Temperature has a huge effect on vapor production, flavor, as well as chemical breakdown depending on the type of aromatherapy products you are using. While some cloud chasers like to hit a high temperature straight away, some purists prefer to go low and slow to get the best performance and taste out of your herb. Most vapes will have temperature settings to cater to all tastes, so play around with your heat settings and see what you like best.
5) Try a Water Tool for Better Vapor!
To produce big clouds, you have to operate at the highest temperature or draw larger amounts of vapor, which can take its toll on your throat and lungs. If you want to achieve truly massive clouds without burning your throat, coughing, or having a harsh vapor then you should use a Water Tool! Our water tools can be used on most vaporizers with the appropriate adapters (that we have also created) and cools the vapor for a smoother, cooler vapor production to help you get bigger clouds!
